Where to find Sunday food and drink specials in Kelowna: wings, brunch, football Sunday deals and happy hours, with links to check current prices.
In this article:
The best Sunday food specials in Kelowna are $12 all-day wings at WINGS in Rutland, CRAFT Beer Market's all-day brunch, and Football Sunday specials at Pretty Not Bad. This list covers Sunday food and drink deals by area, from the Brewery District and downtown to the Mission, Rutland, and West Kelowna, with the catch at each. Sunday plans here tend to start with a late brunch or a hike on Knox Mountain. Specials change often and old Google reviews are frequently out of date, so confirm with the venue before you go.
| Venue | Area | Sunday deal |
|---|---|---|
| Pretty Not Bad | Brewery District | All-day Football Sunday specials on NFL Sundays |
| CRAFT Beer Market | Downtown | All-day brunch until 2 PM |
| Central Kitchen + Bar | Downtown | Brunch from 10 AM |
| Kelly O'Bryan's | Downtown | Happy hour 2 PM to 5 PM and 9 PM to close |
| Cactus Club Cafe | Waterfront | Happy hour 2 PM to 5 PM and 9 PM to close, deals from $5 |
| WINGS | Rutland | $12 wings all day, dine-in, with a drink |
The Brewery District's Sunday pick is Pretty Not Bad and its all-day Football Sunday specials.
Pretty Not Bad
740 Clement Ave | $
Pretty Not Bad is best for watching football. The sports bar, in the old Bad Tattoo space, runs all-day Football Sunday food and drink specials on NFL Sundays; current prices are on its site. The smash burger, with charred edges and plenty of sauce, is the order, and the cheesy bread is the usual add-on.
The catch: The acoustics are poor and it gets very loud. It suits watching the game, not a long conversation. For a quieter breakfast, see our best brunch spots in Kelowna guide.
Downtown Kelowna's Sunday deals include CRAFT's all-day brunch, Central Kitchen + Bar's brunch, and happy hours at Tonics, Kelly O'Bryan's, and Erica Jane.
CRAFT Beer Market
257 Bernard Ave | $$
CRAFT is best known for its Sunday brunch, which its Kelowna page lists until 2 PM on Saturdays, Sundays and holiday Mondays, and its rooftop patio over the lake and the sails. Brunch picks include Cabo fish tacos, a mimosa or the breakfast poutine. Outside brunch, the Korean fried chicken is the strongest dish on the regular menu, and there are over 100 beers on tap.
The catch: Rooftop service on summer Sundays can be slow. Order your second drink with your first.
Tonics Pub & Grill
1654 Ellis St | $$
Tonics is known for its wings, which are on the happy hour menu. Order the salt and pepper; they're large and crispy, which is uncommon for pub wings. It sits slightly off the main strip, so parking is easier. Happy hour has historically run in the afternoon and again late into the evening. Current times and wing prices aren't published here, so check with the pub.
The catch: The interior is dated and dim. For a nicer room, see our best restaurants in Kelowna guide.
Central Kitchen + Bar
1155 Ellis St | $$–$$$
Central Kitchen + Bar is a good Sunday pick for mixed groups that include vegans, with vegan and gluten-free dishes alongside the regular menu. The cultural district restaurant opens for weekend brunch at 10 AM on Sundays and runs until late evening.
The catch: The indoor space is tiny, and in winter the patio becomes a covered tennis bubble to hold the heat in. It works best in summer. It's also a convenient starting point for the stops in our Kelowna breweries guide.
Kelly O'Bryan's
262 Bernard Ave | $$
Kelly O'Bryan's is known for its Pachos: lattice fries topped with cheese and green onions and served with a mustard sauce. Happy hour runs 2 PM to 5 PM and again from 9 PM to close, with cheap sleeves of domestic draft. The rooftop patio is busy in summer.
The catch: The menu is heavy pub grub with few healthy choices, and the stairs to the rooftop are steep.
Erica Jane
1187 Sunset Drive | $$$$
Erica Jane, at the base of the One Water Street towers, is one of the city's most expensive dining rooms, and its daily happy hour is the least expensive way to try it. Current times and the happy hour menu are on its site.
The catch: There's no strictly enforced dress code, but gym clothes will feel out of place.
The waterfront's Sunday option is Cactus Club Cafe at the Yacht Club, with a daily happy hour on the water.
Cactus Club Cafe
1370 Water St (Yacht Club) | $$$
Cactus Club is a chain, but this location sits right on the water and is consistently good. Happy hour runs daily from 2 PM to 5 PM and again from 9 PM to close, with food and drink deals starting at $5. The mini burgers, Bellinis and truffle fries are all on it.
The catch: The waitlist on a summer Sunday afternoon is long. Expect at least an hour; Bean Scene nearby is an option while you wait.
Rutland's Sunday deal is the all-day wing special at WINGS.
WINGS
1-590 Hwy 33 West | $$
WINGS has the best Sunday wing deal in town: $12 wings all day, dine-in only, with the purchase of a drink. A Fiji Blond lager is usually on special for under $5. Hot honey is the flavour to order.
The catch: It's in a highway strip mall with little atmosphere.
The Upper Mission's Sunday option is the neighbourhood pub Kettle Valley Public On Main.
Kettle Valley Public On Main
5305 Main St #100 | $$
Kettle Valley Public On Main (POM) is a neighbourhood pub with food well above the usual pub standard. Weekend features and specials aren't published here; check its social media for current ones.
The catch: It's deep in Kettle Valley, a long drive from Glenmore. For options closer to the centre, see our Kelowna happy hours guide.
The Lower Mission's Sunday option is Creekside Pub, known for its nachos.
Creekside Pub
3929 Lakeshore Rd | $$
Creekside is known for large nachos and Sunday appetizer and drink specials; check with the pub for current ones. The nachos use tri-coloured chips, are well loaded with cheese and are baked through. The daytime crowd is older and local, and the room is quiet enough to talk.
The catch: The beer list is mostly standard domestics like Canadian and Kokanee, with no rotating tap of local hazy IPAs.
The highway option is 97 Street Pub, a hotel bar with daily specials.
97 Street Pub
2402 Hwy 97 N | $$
97 Street Pub is best for watching less common games. It's attached to the Best Western on the highway, runs daily food and drink specials and has 16 TVs.
The catch: The decor is dated, like a hotel bar from 2005. Prices are low.
West Kelowna's Sunday option is The Hatching Post, a Texas BBQ saloon on the wine trail.
The Hatching Post
2850 Boucherie Rd | $$–$$$
The Hatching Post is known for brisket smoked low and slow over fruit woods, and it's worth the trip across the bridge. Order a tray with burnt ends and the jalapeño cheddar smokie, with the house-made stout.
The catch: The kitchen closes when the meat runs out, which on a busy July Sunday can be by 6 PM. Arrive early.
Cactus Club and Kelly O'Bryan's both run afternoon (2-5 PM) and late-night (9 PM-close) happy hours on Sundays. For a cheaper local spot, Pretty Not Bad in the brewery district runs all-day Football Sunday specials.
CRAFT Beer Market on Bernard Ave runs brunch until 2 PM on Saturdays, Sundays and holiday Mondays. Central Kitchen + Bar downtown also opens for weekend brunch at 10 AM on Sundays, with vegan and gluten-free options.
WINGS in Rutland has the best Sunday wing deal in Kelowna: $12 wings all day, dine-in only, as long as you buy a drink. Tonics Pub & Grill downtown also has wings on its happy hour menu.
Yes, almost all downtown Kelowna patios are open on Sundays. The rooftop patios at CRAFT Beer Market and Kelly O'Bryan's are packed on sunny Sundays. The ground-level patio at Cactus Club Yacht Club is also open, but expect a long waitlist.
Pretty Not Bad is the best modern sports bar for NFL Sundays, with all-day Football Sunday specials. For a darker, traditional pub with lots of screens, go to 97 Street Pub or Tonics.
