MovingToKelowna collects the information you send through our contact forms and anonymous analytics about how the site is used, and nothing else. This page explains what that covers, who handles it, and how to reach us about it.
MovingToKelowna collects only what you send us through a form and basic, anonymous information about how the site is used.
Contact and sponsorship forms: your name, email address and message, plus the subject, company, website and inquiry type if you fill them in. Your IP address is used briefly to block spam and limit repeat submissions.
Site analytics: pages viewed, how you arrived (for example a search engine), approximate location (city or region), device and browser type. This is collected by Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics and is not tied to your name.
How pages are used: Microsoft Clarity records clicks, scrolling and mouse movement so we can see where pages are confusing or broken. Text you type into forms is masked and not recorded.
Your browser: the moving checklist saves your progress in your own browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
We use form submissions only to reply to you and to handle your inquiry. We use analytics to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site.
We don't sell your information, rent it, or use it to show you ads, and we don't add you to a mailing list.
We use a small number of service providers, which handle data on our behalf:
Cloudflare hosts the website, delivers form submissions to us by email, runs the Turnstile spam check on our forms, and provides privacy-focused Web Analytics that doesn't use cookies.
Google Analytics measures site traffic. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga) to tell visits apart. We've turned off Google's optional data-sharing settings.
Microsoft Clarity produces usage heatmaps and session replays. It sets cookies (named _clck and _clsk) to tell visits apart, and Microsoft processes the data under its own privacy statement.
Form submissions arrive in our email inbox, which is provided by Google.
These providers may store and process data in the United States and other countries, where it may be accessible under local law.
We keep form messages for as long as we need them to respond and to keep a record of the conversation, then delete them. Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Analytics account and then deleted automatically.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and the site will still work. Blocking cookies also stops Clarity from linking your visits.
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you've sent us by emailing hello@movingtokelowna.ca. We'll respond within 30 days.
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Questions about privacy go to hello@movingtokelowna.ca or through our contact form.
