The most reliable nail salons in Kelowna right now, by neighbourhood, with what each one does best.
In this article:
The best nail salons in Kelowna are UNI Nails & Spa near the Capri Centre, Quinn's Nails and Spa on KLO Rd and Revive Nails Bar downtown. This guide covers nine salons by neighbourhood, from Rutland to the Mission, with what each one does best and the catch at each.
Two things separate the good salons from the rest: products that hold up (cheap acrylic can yellow within three days in the Okanagan sun) and gels that last through a weekend on the lake. Location matters too. Booking near home avoids a cross-town drive, for example from the Westside to downtown.
Revive Nails Bar | 234 Lawrence Ave
Revive is the best downtown option, known for single-use disposable kits on every service and staff who take their time. Pulp Fiction is nearby for a coffee beforehand. The catch: street parking on Lawrence fills with visitors in summer. The Library Parkade avoids a ticket if an appointment runs long.
UNI Nails & Spa | 1177 Sutherland Ave
UNI, near the Capri Centre, offers an upscale feel at standard prices and is central for Glenmore and South Kelowna. The space is quiet, the decor is understated, and it uses higher-end natural products with less chemical smell. There's no TV in the background.
The catch: the schedule is strict. Late arrivals may have the appointment cancelled and be charged a fee, so check the policy when booking and allow extra time for traffic.
C4 Nails + Spa | 3275 Lakeshore Rd #102
C4, near the Save-On-Foods, is the most convenient salon for the Mission. It offers online booking, keeps to its schedule without double-booking, and does kids' pedicures. Avoid booking around 3:00 PM on weekdays: Lakeshore Road backs up when nearby schools let out, and turning into the lot can take three light cycles.
Quinn's Nails and Spa | 1155 KLO Rd #3
Quinn's is known for staff who remember regulars and for value: a standard pedicure includes a hot stone massage on the lower legs, which most places charge extra for. Free snacks and drinks are offered during appointments. Because of the extras and unhurried application, it books up. Saturday walk-ins aren't realistic; call at least a week ahead, especially for weekends.
Nice Nails & Spa 4 U | 515 Harvey Ave #3
Nice Nails is the choice for fast, efficient gels on Harvey Avenue at the edge of downtown. Appointments are quick, with little small talk, and short-notice bookings are usually possible, which makes it useful for a fill before a flight out of YLW. The catch: entering and leaving the lot means crossing several lanes of highway traffic.
DV Nails and Spa | 3019 Pandosy St
DV is a dependable South Pandosy village salon, a short walk from Bean Scene. Service is fast, the acrylics last a full three weeks without lifting, and walk-ins are usually accepted. It's open Saturdays; check current hours. The catch: in July and August, beachgoers walk in and the waiting area gets crowded. Book early in the morning.
Happy Nails and Spa | 2070 Harvey Ave Unit 5
Happy Nails has a loyal following for thick, durable solar nails that hold up through gardening, moving furniture and camping. Staff are patient and good with seniors, which makes it a good choice for a visiting parent's polish change. The interior is basic, with no spa music or decor. The appeal is durability.
City Beautiful Nails Art & Spa | 110 Hollywood Rd S #2
City Beautiful is Rutland's standout, known for meticulous, gentle cuticle work where many salons rush the prep. The techs handle complex nail art without overcharging, and the salon is spotless. The catch: from the Mission or Glenmore it's a 30-minute drive. For anyone already on that side of highway 97, it has a strong local reputation.
K Nails & Spa | 301 Hwy 33 W Unit 37
K Nails, at the plaza in Rutland, offers probably the cheapest full set of acrylics in town and services from basic pedicures to facial waxing. Its size suits large groups such as wedding parties and girls' weekends. The catch: technicians default to their own style if instructions are vague, so a request for almond can come out square. Bring a photo and be specific about shape and length.
Expect to pay between $45 and $60 for a basic pedicure at a standard salon. Shellac, gel polish or hot stone massage add-ons usually push the price to around $75 or $80. High-end hotel spas charge double that, so stick to local spots if you're paying out of pocket regularly.
Yes. Kelowna's population swells from May to September, so book weekend appointments at least two weeks out. Walk-ins on Saturdays in July are nearly impossible and can mean a two-hour wait.
The best places to park for downtown nail salons are the Chapman Parkade and the Library Plaza Parkade. Street parking on Lawrence, Leon and Bernard fills fast. Paying a couple of dollars saves you from an expensive ticket when your nail tech runs 15 minutes late.
Yes. C4 Nails + Spa on Lakeshore and DV Nails on Pandosy are both good options. Either one saves you the drive down Harvey Avenue and the downtown parking hunt. Both get busy when schools let out, so aim for mid-morning appointments.
