Facts checked · How we check facts

The best wedding venues in Kelowna are Hotel Eldorado on the lake, Summerhill Pyramid Winery and CedarCreek Estate Winery. All three run full wedding programs on their own sites, and each gives you Okanagan Lake in the photos.

Below, venues are grouped by type: wineries, lakefront hotels and resorts, golf courses, rustic and barn properties, small ceremony spots, and budget options. We only list places that advertise weddings on their own website, and we only give a capacity or price when the venue publishes one. Prices change every season, so treat any number here as a starting point and get a written quote.

    Winery Wedding Venues in Kelowna

Winery wedding venues are estates that host ceremonies among the vines and receptions in their own rooms, usually with their own kitchen and wine list. They're the most searched type of Okanagan wedding venue, and the best ones book well over a year out. For tasting-room picks that aren't wedding venues, see our Kelowna wineries guide.

    Summerhill Pyramid Winery

    Summerhill Pyramid Winery
Location: 4870 Chute Lake Rd, Kelowna (Upper Mission area)

This organic winery in the Upper Mission runs full-service weddings with plenty of room to spread out. Its events page lists the Pyramid, the Vineyard Ballroom, the Heritage Lawn and the Vineyard Lawn, so you can hold the ceremony outside and move indoors for dinner, and there's helicopter and limo access if you want a big entrance. Summerhill doesn't publish capacity or prices online, so ask the events team for a quote.

    CedarCreek Estate Winery

    CedarCreek Estate Winery
Location: 5445 Lakeshore Rd, Kelowna (Mission area)

CedarCreek sits right on the lake and books ceremonies and receptions in its Garden, its Pavilion and its Home Block restaurant, with menus from Home Block's kitchen. As of October 2026 its site says it's taking bookings for 2026 and 2027. The spaces are mostly outdoors with covered and shaded areas, and events go ahead rain or shine, so ask about tent rentals early. Pricing is by quote only.

    Quails' Gate Winery

    Quails' Gate Winery
Location: 3303 Boucherie Rd, West Kelowna

Quails' Gate is a family-run winery, and its ceremonies happen at the Harvest Gathering Site on the edge of the vineyard. Its 2026 wedding brochure lists ceremony packages from $6,500 for up to 90 guests, with a four-hour site rental, chairs, an arbour and vineyard photo access included. One catch: the brochure says it isn't taking bookings for July and August. A rehearsal dinner can go in the Stewart Family Room, which seats up to 36.

    50th Parallel Estate

    50th Parallel Estate
Location: 17101 Terrace View Rd, Lake Country

If a lot of your guests are flying in, 50th Parallel is a short drive from Kelowna International Airport, just north of Kelowna in Lake Country. It has a dedicated weddings and events program with the Infinity Event Pad, the Winery Tank Hall, the Crush Pad and an Event Centre, and food comes from its BLOCK ONE restaurant. The site doesn't publish capacity or prices, so email the events team.

Mission Hill Family Estate in West Kelowna is often listed online as a wedding venue, but its FAQ says wedding attire, bridal items and professional photography aren't permitted on the estate, and its private events page offers tastings for groups rather than weddings. Leave it off your tour list.

Lakefront Hotel and Resort Wedding Venues

Lakefront hotel venues are resorts on Okanagan Lake that can host the ceremony, reception and guest rooms in one place. They're the simplest choice when you have lots of out-of-town guests. For more places to put people up, see our guide to the best hotels in Kelowna.

Hotel Eldorado and Manteo (Eldorado Resort)

    Hotel Eldorado
Location: 500 Cook Rd, Kelowna (Hotel Eldorado) and 3762 Lakeshore Rd (Manteo)

This historic hotel on Okanagan Lake shares one wedding program with its sister property Manteo, under the Eldorado Resort name. The resort publishes capacities for each room:

    • ●Waterfront Ballroom and Patio (Manteo): 180 seated, 180 for a patio ceremony, 260 for a standing reception
    • ●Great Room: 120 seated, 175 standing
    • ●Rooftop: up to 150 for a ceremony or standing reception
    • ●Quay (Manteo, on the water): up to 120 for a ceremony
    • ●Vintage Room: up to 46 seated, 75 standing

Every wedding is quoted individually, and venue fees change by month. Catering, bar, service charge and taxes are added on top.

    The Cove Lakeside Resort

    The Cove Lakeside Resort
Location: 4205 Gellatly Rd, West Kelowna

The Cove gives you a beach, gardens and indoor rooms on the lake, and guests can stay in the resort's suites. Its weddings page lists the Gellatly Garden and the Beach for ceremonies of up to 100 guests, a marquee tent in the garden for dinners of up to 100, and the Grand Reserve Room for up to 100 (or 90 with a dance floor). The Gellatly Reserve Room takes up to 60, and prices come with the brochure or quote.

    Golf Course Wedding Venues

Golf course wedding venues are clubhouses with a reception room and a ceremony site on the grounds, often with valley views and plenty of parking. Both of these are in Kelowna proper. If you golf, our Kelowna golf guide covers the courses themselves.

    Gallagher's Canyon Golf Club

    Gallagher's Canyon Golf Club
Location: 4320 Gallagher's Dr W, Kelowna (South East Kelowna)

The ceremony site here, Canyon Side, looks over the canyon and the valley. Receptions go in the Canyon Room, which seats up to 150, has a covered patio and can also take an indoor ceremony if the weather turns. Pricing comes in the club's wedding package on request.

    The Okanagan Golf Club

    The Okanagan Golf Club
Location: 3200 Via Centrale, Kelowna (near the airport)

The Okanagan Golf Club gives you two ceremony sites to choose from: a gazebo in the ponderosa pines above the 18th hole of The Quail course, and a smaller waterfront site by Els Lake. The Ponderosa Room seats up to 150 for dinner or 230 for a standing reception, and it can be split for smaller groups. Both ceremony sites are steps from the clubhouse. Packages are quoted on request.

    Rustic and Barn Wedding Venues

Rustic wedding venues are private farms or acreages where you rent the land and buildings and bring in your own caterer, rentals and decor. You get more freedom, and also more planning work.

Rich Creek Estate and Mission Creek Estate

    Rich Creek Estate
Location: Kelowna (exact address given on booking)

The centrepiece of this 16-acre property is a 4,000 sq ft red barn that holds up to 200 people, plus room for tents outside. It's run by LaMore Bridal & Formals, which also rents out Mission Creek Estate, a fully outdoor 14-acre property in central Kelowna that backs onto the Mission Creek Greenway and holds up to 250. Both have a large house on site. Neither publishes prices, and the operator says availability for 2026 and 2027 is limited.

    Red Star Ranch

    Red Star Ranch
Location: Joe Rich, about 32 km east of downtown Kelowna

This private country property comes with a rustic barn, a cabana, a games room, a full kitchen and a small guest cabin for getting ready. There's a grass camping area for guests with tents or RVs (no hookups), and Joe Rich Creek runs through the land. It doesn't publish capacity on its homepage, so ask about guest numbers and packages directly.

    Small and Intimate Wedding Venues

Small wedding venues are spaces built for elopements and ceremonies of roughly 50 guests or fewer. They cost less up front and are easier to book on short notice.

    Sanctuary Gardens

    Sanctuary Gardens
Location: 3792 Carrall Rd, West Kelowna

Sanctuary Gardens is a private acreage that does ceremonies only, under a timber-frame gazebo looking over Okanagan Lake. It fits 40 to 50 guests, and the Rose Room is the rain plan. Its posted package for the 2025 season was $5,000 plus GST for up to 50 guests, with lower rates for smaller elopements, so ask for the current rate. Food and drink receptions aren't allowed on site, which means you'll need a separate dinner venue.

    Other small options

Smaller rooms at the big venues are worth asking about too. Hotel Eldorado's Vintage Room seats up to 46, and many Kelowna restaurants have private dining rooms that work for a dinner after a park ceremony. Kasugai Gardens, behind City Hall, can be booked through the City for ceremonies of up to 25 people.

    Budget Wedding Venues in Kelowna

Budget wedding venues are places with published, lower rates where you supply most of the extras yourself. The two best-value routes are a City park ceremony and a weekday rental at a heritage hall.

    City of Kelowna parks

    City of Kelowna park ceremonies
Location: Several parks, booked through City Event Services

The City of Kelowna rents park spaces for wedding ceremonies only (no receptions), for a three-hour window that includes setup and takedown. Bookable sites and their limits:

    • ●Kasugai Gardens: up to 25, and the garden stays open to the public
    • ●Kinsmen Park: up to 60
    • ●Knox Mountain Park, Crown Lookout: up to 30
    • ●Knox Mountain Park, Pioneer Pavilion: up to 30 (covered)
    • ●Waterfront Park, Pergola: up to 25
    • ●Waterfront Park, Island Stage: up to 500

You pay a non-refundable wedding fee when you book, a $300 damage deposit a month before, and you need event insurance. Bookings open January 14 for that calendar year only. For more green space ideas, see our Kelowna parks guide.

    The Laurel Packinghouse

    The Laurel Packinghouse
Location: 1304 Ellis St, downtown Kelowna

Exposed brick and beams and 5,000 sq ft of open floor make this restored heritage fruit packinghouse in the downtown Cultural District a flexible blank canvas. Kelowna Museums runs it. It holds 300 for a reception or 250 seated. The April 2026 rental package lists full-day wedding rentals from $4,500 Monday to Thursday and $5,500 Friday to Sunday and holidays, taxes included, with tables and chairs provided. You bring your own caterer, bar service, linens and liquor licence, and a 50% non-refundable deposit holds the date. Rates are subject to change.

When should you book a Kelowna wedding venue?

You should book a Kelowna wedding venue 12 to 18 months ahead for a summer Saturday, and sooner for the most popular wineries. As an example, CedarCreek was already taking 2027 bookings in October 2026. City park ceremonies are the exception, since they only open on January 14 of the wedding year.

    • ●Lock in the venue first. Photographers, caterers and planners all ask for your date and location.
    • ●Ask what's included. Some venues bundle chairs, staff and an arbour, while others like the Laurel give you the room and tables and nothing else.
    • ●Get the deposit terms in writing. Several venues, including the Laurel and Sanctuary Gardens, take non-refundable deposits.

Peak Wedding Season in the Okanagan

Peak wedding season in the Okanagan runs from late spring to early fall, with summer weekends the hardest dates to get. July and August are also the hottest months, which is why some venues limit them. Quails' Gate, for example, isn't taking July or August ceremony bookings in its 2026 brochure. May, June, September and early October tend to be cooler for outdoor vows. Check our Kelowna weather guide for what each month is usually like.

Wildfire smoke is a real summer risk in the Okanagan. Knox Mountain Park can close at any time for fire or weather hazards, and the City says it'll try to move your ceremony to another park or refund you in full.

What is the best rain plan for an outdoor wedding?

The best rain plan is a covered or indoor space at the same venue, confirmed in your contract. Most venues here have one built in, but ask exactly where you'll go and who decides when to move.

    • ●CedarCreek holds events rain or shine and offers tent rentals.
    • ●Sanctuary Gardens moves ceremonies into its Rose Room.
    • ●Gallagher's Canyon can hold the ceremony indoors in the Canyon Room.
    • ●Summerhill and Hotel Eldorado both have indoor rooms alongside their outdoor sites.
    • ●City parks have no indoor backup, though Knox Mountain's Pioneer Pavilion is covered.

How do you get a marriage licence in BC?

You get a marriage licence in BC from a marriage licence issuer, which you can find with the search tool on the BC government's marriage licence page. Only one of you has to apply, but that person must go in person with primary ID for both of you.

    • ●Cost: $100, non-refundable. That includes your first marriage certificate, mailed after the marriage is registered.
    • ●Timing: buy it within 3 months before your wedding date. There's no waiting period.
    • ●Age: 19 or older without parental consent. People aged 16 to 18 need written consent from a parent or guardian.
    • ●Witnesses: you need two witnesses, both 19 or older.
    • ●Recently divorced: wait until the divorce order takes effect before you apply.

Who can officiate a wedding in BC?

A wedding in BC has to be performed by a licensed marriage commissioner or a religious official registered with the Vital Statistics Agency. A friend can't legally marry you unless they're registered.

Marriage commissioners do civil, non-religious ceremonies, and you can find one through the BC government's online search. The base fee is $75 plus GST ($78.75), which covers one hour including the meeting, rehearsal, travel and ceremony. Extra time is $25 an hour, plus $0.63 per km mileage and any parking costs.

Planning the Rest of the Weekend

Planning the rest of the weekend means sorting rooms, transport and a rehearsal dinner once the venue is booked. Our best views in Kelowna list doubles as a photo-spot guide, and the hotel and restaurant guides linked above cover guests and dinners.
